Yes, you can use Billy on your face and beard, but that's not its primary use. Billy is designed primarily for sensitive intimate areas , so it works differently than a traditional beard trimmer.
What you need to know for the face:
Billy can groom your beard, cheeks, and neck without any hassle. The cut-resistant ceramic blade works just as well on your face as it does on your pubic area or testicles . You'll never get cut, even in tricky areas like under your nose or jaw.
On the other hand, Billy doesn't shave clean like a razor or an ultra-precise beard trimmer. This is precisely its strength for intimate areas : it cuts very short (especially without a guard) but without ever touching the skin, which eliminates ingrown hairs and irritation. On the face, you get a "1 or 2 day beard" result even without a guard, not a clean shave.
If you have very thick, coarse beard hair , go slower with Billy. It will cut it without any problem, but it may require a little more patience because its cut guard will let less hair through than a trimmer specially designed for facial hair, which is often thicker than pubic hair .
Billy's 5 cutting height settings (0mm to 12mm) allow you to trim your beard to different lengths. This is useful if you want to keep a short, well-groomed beard rather than a clean shave (in our team, we're team 6mm for beards).
