But we know that sometimes words aren’t enough. So we took advantage of the International Lingerie Fair 2026 in Paris to check: we left a billy fully submerged in water for 3 days straight, without taking it out.
billy’s challenge: 72 hours underwater
We plunged a billy into a clear vase on our stand. Fully submerged. Not just a few centimetres, no. Without any special protection, without blocking the USB-C port, without doing anything special. Totally underwater, continuously, for the three days and three nights of the fair.
72 hours non-stop underwater. No extra protection, no special treatment. Just a normal billy, the one you can order on our site, plunged in water as it would be in your shower.
Visitors to the fair could see it floating calmly all weekend. Some were sceptical. Others placed bets. A few even asked if it was really a genuine trimmer or just a display model.
The moment of truth
Sunday evening, end of the fair. We take billy out of its three-day bath in front of the last visitors and cameras.
We wipe it quickly. We press the button.
And it starts immediately. Perfectly. As if it just came out of its packaging.
The blade spins at full power, the LED light works perfectly, the battery indicator still shows its charge. Everything is working. Zero problems. Zero failure.
We even trimmed some hairs to be sure (yes, we had willing models ready). Result? The cut is as precise and effective as with any billy that has never seen water.
